Event requests in your booking widget, walk-in mode, and a faster waitlist
Private event requests in your booking widget, a dedicated walk-in and door-list mode, and a faster guest waitlist.
This update brings private events to your booking widget, a dedicated walk-in and door-list mode for your team, and a faster way for guests to join the waitlist. Here's what's new.
Take private-event requests online
Guests can now request a private event right from your booking widget, and your team manages the whole request from one place.
- Event requests in the widget. A guided flow lets guests describe their event, pick a date and party size, and choose a space on a read-only floor plan, so they only ever see the areas you make available for events.
- A dedicated events screen. Requests land in their own list, mirroring the way reservations work: review the details, decline with a reason, or confirm. Confirming holds the space and keeps it out of regular availability so you never double-book it.
- You control which spaces show. Only event-enabled areas appear to guests, and the space-picker step is skipped automatically when there are none, so the flow stays short.
Run walk-ins and the door from one screen
A new walk-in and door-list mode gives front-of-house a purpose-built screen for busy, walk-in-driven service.
- Tap a table to seat a walk-in. On a live floor, tapping an open table starts a walk-in seat right there, with a quick guest search and tags for skip-the-line or no-cover guests.
- A clear door list. See who's Expected, Inside, and Banned at a glance, with a running occupancy count, guest search, check-in and un-check-in, and a quick menu to tag or mark a guest as VIP.
- No more misleading seat counts. The walk-in flow no longer shows a confusing "0 seats" when you tap an open table.
A faster waitlist for guests and staff
- Scan to join. Guests can scan a QR code to add themselves to your waitlist, and you can print the code for the host stand.
- Text updates. Waiting parties get SMS notifications when their table is ready.
- The floor plan, beside the waitlist. On wide screens the waitlist sits in a side panel next to your live floor, so you can see open tables as you decide who to seat next.
- Quick party edits. Change a waiting party's size right in the bar, without opening a separate card.
A smarter booking widget
- Allergies and dietary notes that stick. Notes a guest enters at booking are saved to their guest profile as durable tags, so your team sees them on every future visit.
- The right country by default. Phone number fields now default to your venue's country instead of always starting on the US.
- Cleaner details step. A clearer phone-number example, a more compact party-size control, and tidier input styling.
- Full-width list view on mobile and tablet. The reservations list now uses the whole screen on smaller devices.
A sharper messaging inbox
- Edit a reservation from the conversation. Update a guest's booking details right inside their message thread.
- Reopen done conversations. A clear way to reopen a conversation you marked done, plus a more readable thread column.
- Jump straight to a conversation. Deep links open the exact thread you need, and rails collapse for more room on smaller screens.
- Text voice-only guests. Start a text conversation with a guest who has only ever called.
- Confirmation codes on call actions. When a call results in a booking, the confirmation code shows right on the action badge.
Tidier guest records
- Clearer guest counts. Guest totals are split by venue and organization, with selectable month chips to focus the view.
- Booking details on the profile. Details captured in the booking form now surface on the guest profile.
- Accurate guest matching. Guests who reach you by phone are matched more reliably, even when several people share a phone number.
Service floor polish
- Floor objects are back on the live floor. Decorative objects you place in the editor now show, read-only, during service for better orientation.
- Finer zoom control. The floor plan zooms in smaller, 5% steps for more precise framing.
- Smoother confirmations. The hold-to-confirm control now shows its fill animation clearly.
- Mobile and tablet refinements across the live service screen, including steadier on-screen keyboard handling.
Behind the scenes
- Instant updates, even at scale. Real-time updates now flow reliably across multiple servers, so your team sees changes the moment they happen.
- A smoother first sign-in. Accepting an invite now lands you on a populated dashboard right away.
